Potential Bond Projects and Expenditures

Proposition 409 – a $898 million bond would allow Valleywise Health to expand behavioral health services, increase inpatient and emergency room capacity, rebuild and expand community health centers to enhance physician training, build a replacement comprehensive health center, and make other infrastructure improvements.

  • Expand pediatric and primary care

  • Build a new 200-bed behavioral health hospital to replace the 50-year-old behavioral health annex on the main campus

  • Grow emergency services at Valleywise Health Medical Center
