Valleywise Health Earns Highest Pediatric ED Preparation Certificate
In 2024, Valleywise Health proudly earned recertification as a Pediatric Prepared Advanced Care Emergency Department—the highest level of pediatric emergency care designation. This prestigious recognition, awarded in partnership with the American Academy of Pediatrics and AzAAP, reflects our commitment to exceptional pediatric care. 100% of our nursing staff are specially trained in advanced pediatric emergency care.


New Valleywise Emergency Department Raises Level of Emergency and Trauma Care
The new Valleywise Health Medical Center Emergency Department spans over 28,000 square feet and treats an average of 220 patients daily. With 55 private rooms—including 15 pediatric rooms and 3 trauma bays—plus 11 dedicated observation rooms, the expanded space improves patient flow and care delivery. This modern facility replaces the previous ED’s 32 licensed beds and reflects Valleywise Health’s commitment to accessible, high-quality emergency care.


Bigger, Bolder, Life-Saving: Valleywise Unveils Expanded Halle Arizona Burn Center
Valleywise Health opened the new Diane & Bruce Halle Arizona Burn Center on June 13, 2024—nearly tripling its size and ushering in a new era of burn care. Now occupying 72,000 square feet on a single floor, the center features ICU and acute care beds for both adults and children, a wellness space, and specialized treatment areas. Designed exclusively for burn patients, it sets a national standard in compassionate, state-of-the-art care.
